Prices and tokens

Candy AI sells one Premium tier on three billing periods. The prices below are what its plan page showed a US visitor on October 23, 2026, during a promotion advertised as 70% off:

Candy AI changes its yearly price with promotions, so check the total on the final payment screen. Its terms also say prices can rise, with notice before the next renewal.

Tokens. Every plan includes 100 tokens a month; text chat is unlimited. Yearly subscribers are charged once a year but still receive 100 tokens each month, on the day they subscribed. Tokens pay for:

• generating images, and turning an image into a short video;
• creating a custom character;
• listening to voice messages and voice calls (in beta);
• unlocking “My Private Content” packs on a character’s profile.

Two rules from the terms matter:

• Tokens expire at the end of each billing period and do not carry over, even if you resubscribe.
• Tokens are not refundable once used, and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.

Candy AI does not publish the token cost of each action in its help center. Heavy image and voice users buy extra tokens, which pushes the real monthly bill above the plan price. The help center also mentions a higher “Premium Plus” tier.

What Candy AI does well

The character builder

The builder walks you through ethnicity, age range, eyes, hair, body, personality, voice and hobbies, step by step. It is the most guided builder among the apps we compare. You can also pick from ready-made characters in three categories: girls, anime and guys, which makes Candy AI a solid AI boyfriend app too.

Everything in one app

Chat, voice notes and calls, 18+ images and video all live in the same conversation and the same token balance. Candy AI has also added extras such as short episodic “Shorts”, private content to unlock and a video builder.

Payment options

Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, crypto and bank transfer are accepted for both subscriptions and tokens. The charge shows as “EverAI” on your statement, not “Candy AI”.

Where Candy AI falls short

A tiny free account. Five messages in total, one custom character and one image: you cannot really judge the app before paying. The first month at $9.99 is the cheapest real trial.

Expiring tokens. Unused tokens vanish at the end of each billing period.

A strict refund policy. You must email support@candymail.ai within 24 hours of payment and say clearly that you want a refund; cancelling alone, even within 24 hours, does not count. You must also have used 20 tokens or fewer and have paid by card. EU and UK residents get a 14-day right of withdrawal on the first purchase (not on renewals).

The affiliate controversy. In 2025, the investigative outlet Bellingcat reported that a link to Candy.AI appeared on a deepfake website through its affiliate program. Candy AI’s rules ban images of real people, and its terms say it reports child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. We would still like to see a public explanation of how affiliates are checked, and will update this section if Candy AI publishes one.

Privacy: what the policy actually says

We read Candy AI’s privacy notice (revised October 19, 2026) and terms of service (revised September 22, 2026). The key points:

The terms also describe Candy AI as entertainment only, not emotional support, and ask users not to share financial details, addresses or passwords in chats. Good advice for any app: use a separate email and keep identifying details out of conversations.

How to cancel

1. Log in, open My Profile and click Settings.
2. Next to your current plan, click Unsubscribe.
3. Your Premium stays active until the end of the paid period; you will not be charged again.
4. Use your remaining tokens before that date: they expire.
5. Want a refund too? Email support@candymail.ai within 24 hours of the payment and ask for it explicitly.
6. Leaving for good? In the same Settings page, the Danger Zone has a Delete account button. Cancel first, then delete.

Candy AI is the app we recommend to most adults trying an AI girlfriend for the first time: it does chat, voice, pictures and video well, the builder is easy, and the yearly promotion makes it the cheapest of the leading apps. Start with the $9.99 first month, watch how fast you use tokens, and only switch to the yearly plan if you stay. If it is not for you, email support within 24 hours to ask for a refund.
